October is Polio Month in the RI Calendar. The Niagara Falls Sunrise club was honoured and please to have Dr. Thomas (Tommy) Gerbasi speak to the club about "The Facts of Polio".
We are in an age when we all take for granted that polio is out of our lives and will never strike the children of Canada again. WRONG!! Tommy outlined the history of polio. (Because we all had forgotten what thousands of people went through in the middle of the last century.) He then outlined the future of Polio. (because we all take for granted it will be eradicated.)
