The second run in a series of 12, the Rotary club showed up early and met a group of community athletes, volunteers, sponsors,  city staff and the crew from the Niagara 2022 games.  Pictured here our Satellite group is hanging out at the start line with Shelly the official mascot of the games.
Torch Bearer, Arden Martinez a past SLAPshot award winner, shows a large smile while he ran the penultimate leg of the relay.  His "wolfpack" including mostly AN Myer football players, but also included another SLAPshot winner David Arevelo.

Volunteering and having a good time, isn't that the best of life?  Many of the club members attended training last Monday and helped managed the
torch exchange points.  All of them were up bright and early, participating in the early morning stretch session and momentum builder.

This year's SLAPshot co-winner, Jessica Field, helped out at the very last torch exchange site.  The smiles speak for themselves.

If you haven't bought tickets for the games, they are on sale now.  They take place at several venues from August 6, to 21!
